Cool

Has a pretty nice feel to it. Never played the game, so I don't know how the original sounded, but this sounds pretty good to me...
I like the drums and the melody. They sound a bit urgent and explorative, like the music in many RPG games...

It's pretty short though, and ends pretty abruptly. Otherwise good.

Sorrow-316 responds:

yeah, i know it ends Crappy, but i thank you for the Review! This sounds Somewhat similar to the Game, only i left out some instruments as i wrote in my Comments.

Wow...

That sounds awesome...
The melody is snappy and memorable, and the beats sound banging too...
I think the soft melody gets just a tad repetitive, but then it changes again, and the song has enough variation to keep it interesting.

Pretty epic IMO!

Nav responds:

Thanks! :D

Wow!

The beginning and end sound really awesome. The song fills the headphones and your head, sounds very mellow. I like the mood, but it gets a bit too loud but still lacking of energy at some points with the lead.
You should try and develop this song a bit, and make it longer, it would be awesome!

Treadz responds:

ok man cheers for the review

respect what you said and im going to see if i can pan out some the synths so they don't squash.

thanks man

Pretty cool!

Yeah it keeps moving and squirming, I like the sound.
The pads or whatnot feels pretty well textured, well done.
You also use a lot of effects, like the panning, and it works well.

Very good for a flash or something, but the song is slightly monotonous.
The beat only consists of the BD, so it could have used a little more variation...

Over-all sound is great though, I 'd love to hear some more Chemical Brothers-like techno from you! That would be interesting...
For example the song "Out of Control" by CB has some cool tweaking and stuff...

DragonsoulX responds:

well lately my songs have been boarding the ambient genra, but thanks for the advice and review.

Nice

Nice and clean version of the ever-so-memorable melody that is Matoya's Cave!
Piano sounds good and you've kept the melody alive with the violins.

Good job.

Realmguys responds:

Thank you for the review! I really appreciate it!

Mmm

This is one of my favourite melodies, so the title alone sets the bar high...
You've got the melody right... The sounds fit the mood...

But it's pretty loud, and I've heard at least a couple very good remixes of this song, and to be brutally honest, I'd rather listen to the original song in the 16 bit megadrive, than the remix... It's just because the original was done well, and using a good melody alone wont make a song good. (Lol, no offence though, I've done it myself :))

But yeah, keep improving, try and something new with your remixes...
I think there was an industrial version of this song at OCRemixes, but maybe it was the oil field zone remix I'm thinking of...

Also, the beat was too simple, add some high hats, and a snare at least.

Keep trying you'll get there.

Dusky responds:

Thank you for the feedback! Finally someone gives me a helpful review. Yeah I just started making music (this is like the third thing I've made) So it's good to get some constructive feedback on my work. :D

Cool!

The intro is a very good idea, I think, but it's a bit slow right after it. You could have some more stuff going on right after the intro, or you could have the current intro come in later.

The techno beats are very good IMO! The crashing thing with the delay sounds good, and the beats roll on well.

The lead is alright too.

Good luck with building on this song, it mos def has some potential!

Iownyoujk responds:

Yea,I would have to say I got pretty lucky with the intro, but sadly couldn't carry on the beat of it very well. I will be sure to remaster it so it sounds alot better, thanks for the review :D.

More of a remake...

It's good for a remake.
It includes everything from the original song so it's good.
Has a variety in instruments which makes it worth listening... I especially like the pad that enters the fray at about 42 secs in the song.

Still I get an unfinished feel of it... It sounds a bit plain.
You could've tried a techno remix or some other genre you like...
Also the BD is a bit loud sometimes...

A good remake, nothing awesome but not bad either.
BTW what music host/program did you use?

ZiggyZack99 responds:

Thanks, Anvil Studio is what I used.

Lul

Sounds like a happy melody from a Sonic game, except with a retarded bass...
A pretty fun song though!

Rig responds:

Wow, first review in over a year. Thanks!

Weird...

Lol, I was listening to this a while before you reviewed my submission.
Hmm, quality is good as far as I can tell, but the song is pretty repetitive...
I like the "hovery" pad or whatever that is. I probably couldn't do such a thing, unless I just happened to find such a preset...

It sounds like a haunted mansion-type music. Some typical "haunted" sounds, and the snare thing with a lot of reverb makes it sound like a ghost song...

Sorry I don't know much else to say, kind of weird song, kind of typical.
Does that make any sense?

DragonsoulX responds:

lol yeah i guess thanx for the reveiw
