Woot very cool for an Anvil song!

I've tried Anvil, and nothing ever comes out as I want it to. Even if I try making a beat in HammerHead and import it as an audio sample, then the volume is turned down so that the sample becomes unusable. I submitted one song made in Anvil but it's not that great...
What I'm trying to say is that making a decent song in Anvil alone is impressive but this I think sounded pretty good. Well done.
It would sound good in a part of a video game that takes place in a train...

Anvil was my very first music-making program. It started a long tradition of programs frustrating the bejesus out of me. My friend Paul told me about the program and basically launched my whole music career. Paul also left me my very first Newgrounds review on the song Nebula. I owe a lot to him.

But anyways... Anvil. It was a major pain. I haven't touched the program in about 7 years, but I do remember that things were pretty limited at the time. Every drum beat had to be placed manually in the song. A one-minute song would take an eternity to make so I kept my songs fairly short. Also, I noticed that when in the program, the midi sounds sounded different than when I rendered and played them on Windows Media Player... argh. I had to figure out a way to record the program playing the song and then save that. I forget how I did it to be honest. But that's why there's a pause at the beginning of my old Anvil songs. I had to click record and then press play in the program real quick :) Haha, I hope the program has improved a tad...

Thanks again!

Cool

Don't know much about music or the terminology of music but... The melody of the guitar/base or w/e reminded me of Crash Bandicoot, and the sounds in the background reminded me of the music in that jungle level in Sonic Adventure 2.
I liked how it sounded too.

Wow! Reviewing the oldies! It feels like I haven't listened to these old tunes forever. I don't remember either of the songs from those games. To be honest, I really didn't have any musical influences at this point in making music. This was made about 2001 or 2002, and I was just listening to crappy radio stuff at that time. I wasn't really into electronic music yet, believe it or not! Thanks for the review.
