cool

It gets a bit repetitive near the beginning, but it gets much better as it progresses.
I like the main melody, and the beats fit well too. The piano plays well together with everything else.
It reminds of songs from Street Fighter games. So the mood is well achieved!
Good job!

Wow!

The beginning and end sound really awesome. The song fills the headphones and your head, sounds very mellow. I like the mood, but it gets a bit too loud but still lacking of energy at some points with the lead.
You should try and develop this song a bit, and make it longer, it would be awesome!

Treadz responds:

ok man cheers for the review

respect what you said and im going to see if i can pan out some the synths so they don't squash.

thanks man

Omg...

Dude, you should really be making music for video games or movies. I've only heard two songs by you, but their both really awesome. You really have a sense for making your music filled with mood and tension.
This sounds pretty serious and suspenseful, but still airy and optimistic.
Makes me think of a secret mission on a huge spaceship, in a fantasy world....

Everything sounds perfect, great quality. I really like how you layered the song out...

Wow!

I really like how it progresses! This sounds A LOT like it could be a song from the old Spyro games! The drums, the pads and the bell sounds remind me of Spyro a lot.
I really didn't expect it to turn around the way it did. It only just begins to get repetitive when you pull out the big guns and it turns fuller and fuller as it goes on.
Great job, sounded very nostalgic to me.

Pretty cool!

Yeah it keeps moving and squirming, I like the sound.
The pads or whatnot feels pretty well textured, well done.
You also use a lot of effects, like the panning, and it works well.

Very good for a flash or something, but the song is slightly monotonous.
The beat only consists of the BD, so it could have used a little more variation...

Over-all sound is great though, I 'd love to hear some more Chemical Brothers-like techno from you! That would be interesting...
For example the song "Out of Control" by CB has some cool tweaking and stuff...

DragonsoulX responds:

well lately my songs have been boarding the ambient genra, but thanks for the advice and review.

Hey!

Very nice remix of this song!
It sounds both gritty and adventurous and suspenceful!

I've only played MG1 on an emulator once, but still I remember this theme.
You have some nice variations going on, and I like the bass that joins in every now and then.

Very nice remix, I'd use it if I ever did a MG1 spoof!

Nice

Nice and clean version of the ever-so-memorable melody that is Matoya's Cave!
Piano sounds good and you've kept the melody alive with the violins.

Good job.

Realmguys responds:

Thank you for the review! I really appreciate it!

Mmm

This is one of my favourite melodies, so the title alone sets the bar high...
You've got the melody right... The sounds fit the mood...

But it's pretty loud, and I've heard at least a couple very good remixes of this song, and to be brutally honest, I'd rather listen to the original song in the 16 bit megadrive, than the remix... It's just because the original was done well, and using a good melody alone wont make a song good. (Lol, no offence though, I've done it myself :))

But yeah, keep improving, try and something new with your remixes...
I think there was an industrial version of this song at OCRemixes, but maybe it was the oil field zone remix I'm thinking of...

Also, the beat was too simple, add some high hats, and a snare at least.

Keep trying you'll get there.

Dusky responds:

Thank you for the feedback! Finally someone gives me a helpful review. Yeah I just started making music (this is like the third thing I've made) So it's good to get some constructive feedback on my work. :D

Epic!

The melody sounds very epic, and the mix is full and lucious!
I like the song, beats are awesome, melody is catchy.
Sample saying break down fit in well too.

Good jobjobjobbojbojboj doog

Cool!

The intro is a very good idea, I think, but it's a bit slow right after it. You could have some more stuff going on right after the intro, or you could have the current intro come in later.

The techno beats are very good IMO! The crashing thing with the delay sounds good, and the beats roll on well.

The lead is alright too.

Good luck with building on this song, it mos def has some potential!

Iownyoujk responds:

Yea,I would have to say I got pretty lucky with the intro, but sadly couldn't carry on the beat of it very well. I will be sure to remaster it so it sounds alot better, thanks for the review :D.
