Damn

I could watch that whole day! Well, actually I watched it loop about 4 times, but still...
The music in the beginning made me think of Kol-Belovs stuff for some reason. The chicken is my favourite, he is creepy as hell I dunno why...

It's well synced and animated, you have a cool style. Also I love how the characters are something of their own, it's like it tells something about them...

So yeah, it'll be interesting to see how the chars develop!

TheBoogley responds:

Yeah, that damn chicken seems like some sort of hannibal lecter character. I thought I was just cranky about how long it took to animate it's slow motions, but lots of people have been creeped out by it!

Lolololo

Hahaa!
Loved the jump in styles. And the drama.

Sh0T-D0wN responds:

;).

Not bad

I liked the gurgling while dying, is that weird?
The animation looked pretty good, and the blood is alright too. The blood looked a bit simple, which works with this animation, but if you're doing something more elaborate you should try to make some more and smaller blood drops.

Also try doing some different angles, and experimenting. That's something I should do more too...

Oh yeah, somebody might have answered already, but to not have to animate FBF you need to use tweens. To make a tween, first make two keyframes on the same layer. (Press F6 or right-click the frame and choose keyframe or something like that) Then if you do a shape tween, just draw something on both frames, click on a frame between the keyframes and choose "shape tween" down in the properties. When you play it, the first image should morph into the second one.

More common is the motion tween. Two keyframes again, same layer. Draw something on the first layer, and convert it into a symbol. (Press F8 or right-click and choose "convert to symbol") What you motion tween always has to be a symbol.
Now copy the symbol and paste it onto the second frame. Move it a bit from it's original position, change it's alpha, or resize it. then right-click onto the frames between the keyframes and choose "motion tween". Now it should move and resize as you play the frames.
Also important to remember is the ease. In the properties you can choose the ease for your tween. A high ease will make something slow down during the tween, a negative ease has the opposite effect. Easing can make your animations look more smooth.

Damn, that's a lotta writing. Hope that helps.

This is a great review!

I could've probably benefit from this a lot earlier, like, before ZOA, but I'm sure there's an aspiring animator that's going to stumble upon this later, and have YOU to thank!

It DOES help. Thank you!

Awoop

That's awesome dude!
What a stroke of luck to run into this movie, made friggin 6 years ago...

I loved the voices, I think you did a pretty good job on them, especially Luke's voice.
You also kept it pretty balanced, so it worked well for me.

It's a good parody. Kind of similar to Link's quest for ass...
Hmm, it's not like the author is actually going to read this review...

Woohoo!

Finally a parody on ZOE!
And dude, if you like ZOE1, you've gotta get number two as well! The battles are better and there are super sweet cut scenes!

Hmm, I liked your drawings, and the animation was good. The part where he uses ADA for the first time looked pretty neat!
Also it was pretty funny. Lol, "over ride, this is a Kojima game". But you gotta love Kojima's games man, they're epic. The self-made sound effects thing has been done before, but it works.

A pretty decent parody, I hope you'll make one of ZOE2!

Galneda responds:

Been there brother! If I do pick up where ZoA left off as a web-comic, I will definitely reach into the 2nd Runner timeline.

Yeah, it was my intention to have her EQ bar respond to every one of her lines, with something interesting happening on the dashboard or the background simultaneously, but when I started cutting corners to get this submitted before school starts, the EQ bar was the first one to go, as that becomes apparent after the "Tesla Wikipedia" scene.

I do love Kojima's games! BUT, people don't make fun of him enough, so think of it as tough-love. lol

Really the only true reason I did the self-made sound-effects was because I had none. No SFX at all. It was only until a week before I submitted this that I acquired the sounds used in Jehuty's fight. If I had a more extensive data-base, I probably would've avoided "mouth-fx" altogether, but reading some of these reviews, some people thought it was hysterical, so I might think about that in my next comedy. Doing something differently, of course.

Well

It was pretty good, but as already mentioned it was too short.
You had put a lot better material in the collab thing.
Animation was good though, and you are good at using effects. I also like your custom stick dude, it looks original.
The idea works, but it never turns into a killing spree.
Music was good.

Keep it up, you're much more talented at pivot than I am at this point, so just keep honing teh skillz.

ghostflames responds:

Thanks a lot, i dont get such detailed and constructive reviews very often :)

Lol

I liked the poorly executed drama. And the video game music was fun.

Hey!

Some pretty impressive pivots and EZtoons in here!
I especially liked FlamingSkulls stuff in the credits and the others too. Really great job by everyone who partook. I loved the camera effects and the fast moves of some sticks!
I've never seen EZtoons before, but the ones here looked pretty damn good!

What else...
Music fit....

I hope you make another one, this was great!

Hey!

Awesome flash man!
I loved the drawings of different characters! It looked a lot like drawings from Ren N' Stimpy, but you still had your own style.
The animation was good too, and I lol a couple times.

One thing though, you didn't credit the Mario song, it only said it was from Mario 64! But to me it sounded like a remix, and a pretty good one too, so could you tell me where you go it, or who the artist is?

Thanx and well done.

Holy fuck!

That was so intensely awesome!

The feel was perfect, the sounds and switches of images and angles worked well.
And the culmination made it even better!

Then it kind of normalized by having Wilson as comedic relief and finally the credits and music. So it leaves the viewer with a nice and relaxed feel, and with a small psychotic trauma that will be suppressed until it slowly emerges, and makes you go insane.

Well done!

It's like you jimmied open my skull with a can-opener and read my mind.
