Whoa, parts remind me of music from the old spyro games, but the glitchy beat, blew me away! A very happy and optimistic song! :D

Author's Response:

Ooooooooo...Spryo. I never actually played the game, but I've heard a lot of wonderful things about it. So to be connected to it makes me smile to say the least. :-)

"Woot"

date: December 16, 2009

Love the mellow melody! :D
Dunno... The beat stays pretty much the same throughout the song... And the beat is pretty loud. So I think there could be parts where the beat was that present...
Love the melody though, and overall the kind of sad RPG feel is there, and it's awesome! :D
Good song, just wanted a small part without the beat, or where it faded out a bit, or had the high hats go away for a while...
But that's just me, so if you like it, don't pay me no mind. :P

Author's Response:

Personally I feel it gives it a driving force - but that's just me :P

thanks for the review!

Streaming Ether

"Nice"

submission: Streaming Ether
date: October 22, 2009

Nice feel to it, it kinda feels like music that could be from a final fantasy game. :)
Like what would play in a dreamy cave place or in the desert.

Nice lingering and slow theme, makes it feel like youve wondered around this desert for ages, and are longing to get out into a town with lots of ppl. :D

The piano and violin acompany eachother well.

My fave part is actually around 50-1:15. I kinda wish a similar part wouldve reappeared in the middle or near the end of the song... Woulda given it some feel of periodicy. Or somen. Lol.

Anyway, awesome job, keep it up!

October 23, 2009

Author's Response:

Final Fantasy, that is a good game to be associated with. :-)

This was definitely a slower paced tune than you typically hear from me. I did that on purpose for a couple of reasons. One was because I felt it was good to change things up from the frantic sort of songs I've posted as of late. And second, I wanted to challenge Bracksta to work outside his comfort zone. He was definitely up to the challenge. ;-)

Glad you liked the song bud.

Thanks for the review.

I'm Dreaming Of You

"Kewl"

date: September 16, 2009

Ok it sounds fresh because it's not a typical gravey track. So youre trying new things, that's good.
The melody sounds a bit odd, but not bad, I like it. Overall the feel is a bit dreamy IMO.
It gets a bit repetitive, and doesn't have as much variation as you often have.

Not a bad song though, keep it up!

September 16, 2009

Author's Response:

Yea, it isn't my typical sound by any means. Mainly cause I took something Ledge wrote, and tried to create a whole song expanding on it. I'm really happy with this song though.

Thanks for the review bud.

"Cool!"

submission: The Happy Egg
date: August 30, 2009

I like the deep bass that plays throughout the song, and the happy mood!
It changes a lot during the song, lots of variation, which I love. At times it sounds pretty airy or spacy, at other times it's more adventurous and fast.
Gravey is definitely distinguishable when listening to it. :)

Awesome song, nice job! :D

August 30, 2009

Author's Response:

Glad you like the bass! I worked pretty hard on not only its overall sound, but also the written part itself.

You are so right when you mentioned how there is a lot of variation. We used so many different instruments and had so many layers, I'm amazed it ended up making any coherent sense in the end. That being said, I really feel it came together very nicely.

Thanks for the review my friend!

"Nice!"

date: August 23, 2009

I love drum and bass as a genre, so this is kinda nice. ;)
Pretty hectic song lol. I like the beats and the growling bass. The typical gravey parts make it hectic and crazy. The melody again kind of has some different instruments playing together, which sounds nice. :)

It's a good song, but for some reason I'm not gonna add it to my faves. It doesn't feel as epic as the other collab you did once, with some groovey bass...
All the best anyways.

Author's Response:

I know you like the DnB! :-D I was definitely gonna make sure you heard this to see what you thought of it. Glad you like it.

I agree, it doesn't have that epic factor that some of my songs have. This one is more of a down to earth kinda song. Not as flashy as some of the songs I've worked on before.

Thanks for the review!

"Hmm"

date: August 9, 2009

I know the song, we heard it in Japanese class. (Yup, I'm on a Japanese course :P)

The original melody is catchy, but this one feels too slow for me to like it. Sorry...
We heard three different versions of this, and the oldest one was slow like this. Still it had lyrics which made it sound regal and like ritual music. This version just doesn't "fit" with me somehow.

So yea, a good choice for a remake, but you could've tryed something new or experimental with it.

August 10, 2009

Author's Response:

Well, I wasn't really looking to do anything experimental. I just wanted to enhance what PenguinSam already had written. :-P

Thanks for the review!

submission: L'Ultima Posizione

Nice military feel to it, it's like soldiers seizing a fortress of some kind, while the royal family is bunkered up in a secret room near the throne room. Will the enemy breach in before help arrives? :O

It gets better as it goes along, it has some less suspenceful parts to make it more like a soundtrack. So the disposition is good. :)

Nice job, please PM me if this ever appears in a flash movie! Would be awesome to see it in action!

Thanks! Glad you liked it!

I'll definitely pm you if it makes it into a flash. ;-)

date: August 5, 2009

The song sounds so awesome... The feel is sweet, it's like you're travelling through a vast scenery on a boat/flying machine/land slider thing and just gazing at the horizon and thinking of the past and future.
It sounds crisp and clean, I love the bass which gives it a slightly ominous nuance. (ooh I used a cool word)
The percussion and melody gives it a feel of progressiveness, and everything fits together.
Love this song, great job! :D

interesting imagery on your part :)

Pretty neat, the straight forward intense stuff sounds awesome! And I like the melody that kinda plays around. The melodies kind of fade in and out of eachother, which sounds cool.

Good job, this could almost be in a game like Tales of Symphonia as a boss theme.
Mmmm ToS... <3
The name SOUNDS like it says "Complete and expensive"... But I only know swedish, so I'm probably wrong. :P

July 24, 2009

Author's Response:

You are close on the title. A lot of people think the first word means complete, but it doesn't. *So long as my personal Danish speaking friend hasn't messed up the translation.* But I have faith in him. :-)

I'm glad you enjoyed the tune. I agree, it is very intense, and that was definitely the purpose. The melodies definitely intertwine each other, and create an almost whole new melody between the two.

Thanks again for the review!
